Abstract:

Mesan is a Norwegian IT-professional Services with broad experience from working with large and complex solutions for the last 15-20 years. Mesan has found that Model Driven Architecture (MDA) combines the advantages of 4GLs and third generation languages (3GLs) such as C++, Java and C#. It is more productive than 3GLs, and more open than the proprietary 4GLs. Business wise Mesan has always focused on Total Cost of Ownership and MDA fits well into that tradition. Generally speaking, MDA has been a natural development in the way we work with model-driven development. Finally we can offer our customers the same kind of efficiency that we could on the old technology - "It gives us freedom to think about business rather than technology". Mesan will present real life experience using MDA in their customer projects - pro & cons.
