Presentation: "Generics in Java: Programming With Parameterized Classes in Practice"

Track:   Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition

Time: Monday 11:00 - 12:00

Location: Conference Hall 2

Abstract: Java Generics are upon us, and have been generously applied all over your favourite APIs. This talk will turn generics inside out, aiming to give you a fighting chance in understanding the new API signatures, reasoning about the behaviour of the compiler and writing generic classes of your own. Along with the "how's" I hope to convey some of the "why's" that you cannot read in the books. Time permitting, there may also be jokes.
