Presentation: "Wiki and Agile Security Methods"

Monday 14:00 - 14:45, Private Room

Wiki provides a server-side tool to create and manage Open Content on the Web. As a minimalist solution for open co-authoring that allows anyone with a forms-capable browser to play, Wiki appears to offer little in the way of content management security. This perception is often a barrier to acceptance and practical deployment. The talk discusses the security measures that are in fact possible for public Wiki implementations, but perhaps more importantly, examines the issue of the appropriate level of user and content control for any given situation. The public Wiki used for the presentation will allow continued discussions after the conference.
