Business: The CASE of Decentralizing Public Administration
This presentation will tell the story of a decentralization strategy and its succesful implementation by means of a Java-based system. The SU Agency has provided database access to hundreds of educational institutions using Java
applets. Topics will include Business Strategy; Project Organization; System Architecture; User Cooperation; Technical Issues; and Operational Experiences. Programmed facilities for reporting end-user response times will be described.

Biography:
Knud Henning Nielsen is Systems Development Manager at the SU Agency, Ministry of Education in Denmark. Prior to this, he had management positions as responsible for systems architecture, computer operations and network management in other organizations. He holds a degree in Computer Science from University of Copenhagen.
